6 Days & 5 Nights


Day 1: Arrival at Bole International Airport and City Tour After your arrival at Bole International Airport, you will be welcomed by MAHTEB Ethiopia Tour’s representatives. Then you will check into a hotel. 

Following will be a city tour to Addis Ababa. You will first visit to the National Museum (pre historic, cultural, archaeological attractions), Ethnographic Museum of Addis Ababa University (culture, dressing style, traditional practices of over 80 ethnic groups, and collection of traditional musical instruments). Your visit also comprises tourist attraction sites like Emperor Minelik’s Palace, St. Raguel’s Church, Merkato, (the largest open market in Africa). 

In the evening, you will have dinner at the hotel and you will rest.


Day 2: Drive to Awash National Park and visit the park After breakfast, you will drive to Awash National Park (225 Km from Addis). On the way, you will visit Lake Basaka for its aquatic birds. You will check into a lodge. In the afternoon, take a safari visit to the National Park. 

You will have dinner, rest and spend the night there.



Day 3: Drive to Harar You will have an early breakfast and drive to Harar (318 Km from Awash NP) and Then you will arrive in Harar (late afternoon). You will check into a hotel. Early in the evening visit man feeding Hyenas. 

You will have dinner, rest and spend the night there.


Day 4: Visit the Walled City of Jegol
You will have an early breakfast and visit the Walled City of Jegol, the house of Arthur Rimbaud (a French poetry who lived 1880s in Harar), Emperor Haile Selassie home (he was born & grow in Harar) and Harari museum. 

In the evening, you will have dinner and stay the night at the hotel.


Day 5: Drive to Dire Dawa and visit the city
You will have breakfast & drive to Dire Dawa (50Km from Harar). Dire Dawa is the mosaic of culture, the museum of people. Most culture from all around the country and some of the world are displayed in this remarkable city. The French, Bulgarians, Greeks, Armenian and Indians had putted their cultural effect on, which is now reflecting on the architectural style of the buildings. 

You will have dinner and stay the night in the hotel.



Day 6: Flight back to Addis Ababa and departure
After a relaxed breakfast, a flight will take you back to Addis Ababa. You will arrive in Addis Ababa late afternoon where you will do some shopping for souvenir. Finally you will be taken to a farewell dinner at the renowned Cultural Restaurant, where you will enjoy the authentic Ethiopian cultural food buffet along with cultural drinks, live music and dances of the diverse nations and nationalities of Ethiopia. 

After dinner, you will be transferred out to Bole International Airport for return flight back home.
